Best exclusives is meaningless though. It's a vague subset of games that have nothing in common other than they can only be played on the Wii U and they have a decent metacritic score. If you don't like Smash and Mario games suddenly best exclusives means it has a bunch of games you are uninterested in.

The argument it has the best exclusives is worthless. All it proves is the supposed quality of exclusive games does nothing to translate to overall success.

Why not? I've been playing it for 20 years, some for 30. The franchise continues to reinvent itself and keeping fun as the primary endpoint.

They had a couple interesting ones i would have liked to play. If Switch was backwards compatible with Wii U games i would buy it. Between the two systems i wouldn't worry about a lack of good games.

I'm saying this as a current Wii U owner that has no plans to ever sell the system or any of my Wii U games. If people in general cared about which system had the best exclusives we probably wouldn't even be 26 days away from the Nintendo Switch's launch.
