Kaep basically showed athletes (especially ones in the position of a lebron) that all that talking does nothing. It's been done a zillion times. At the end of the day it's just words, there's no action behind it....till Kaep took that knee. He chose to do something other than "we have to do better as a country".
I've never been of fan of making speeches, praying and marching. At the end of the day, that shyt looks cute for a few hrs and then it's back to the bullshyt. You have to really make these racist cocksuckers completely uncomfortable and that isn't gonna happen with a "hey audience....we need to better ourselves to make this nation better" speeches. I hope to see more athletes, especially the big name ones do more than just talk. With great power, comes great responsibility. Use that shyt.

To be clear, I believe for Lebron to make the maximum amount of impact in NE Ohio, it would be to make the maximum amount of money he can during his prime earning years (right now) and then distribute it upon retirement through jobs and investment. This thread is obviously about Lebron and we don't know that much comparatively about Paul Wade & Melo. They may just play out their career, leave wealth to their kids & die. Lebron obviously has grandiose plans post retirement that requires him to see his career through. Lebron is rich and he's an economic generator in Cleveland, Ohio but he doesn't have the clout (yet) to call shots in forcing criminal charges on folks. I bet Dan Gilbert has that clout in Cleveland & Detroit, but Lebron has to get there.

I made the same point to my wife last week. I was like folks praying for Kap to be ok. I was like that boy got a life insurance policy with the 49ers and if something happens to him the 49ers are on the hook for 20 mill. Trust this brotha got around the clock security with the 49ers they ain't trying to pay his family millions if something happens to him this season.
