In retrospect LL's verse on 4,3,2,1 was better than Canibus 2nd Round TKO.

North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
The fact that he made Canibus change his line and then proceeded to shyt on him is just :dead:

LL's verse was :wow: but once you found out he was talking about Canibus it made it that much worse.

Canibus lost but allowing his verse to stay on the record after LL told him to change it in the first place :mjpls:

The moment he caved, he lost. He was signed to the SAME label as LL :russ: which was a huge disadvantage.

After he heard it LL's verse he should've just took that L quietly. LL even agreed to help promote his shyt as a peace offering on some humble shyt, but Canibus let the wrong people get in his ear and it was a wrap.

I kind of feel the same way looking back. That verse was just venomous. :whew:

"You hold the rusty swords, I swing the excalibur" :win:
"Every little boy wanna pick up the mic:russell:, and try to run with the big boys and live up to the real hype" :childplease:
"Let me get back to this mic on my arm, if it ever left my side it'd transform into a time bomb" :damn:
"You don't wanna borrow that, you wanna idolize, and you don't wanna make me mad nikka you wanna socialize"
"I'll go platinum for every time your grimy ass was on the train" :umad:
"LL Cool J nikka, greatest of all time" :blessed:

I agree that LL won. Winning a battle has more factors than better bars. Most people don't get that.

Bis' verse on 4321 was fire so it wasn't like L washed him per say.

Let's compare Second Round KO to whatever LL's response was. I haven't heard LL's track since it came out.

Second Round KO is certified classic to this day. If it comes on tomorrow I still vibe to it.

I have no point here. I was a Bis stan until the battle with Diz. I wanted to disown him completely but

100 Bars
Poet Laurette 2
33 3s
His features before his album where he was beasting on everyone
1,2,9 (Bis and Murray)
Allied Meta Forces
4 Horesemen
Channel Zero
Buckingham Palace
Navy Seals

Just off the top of my head.

Dude is a genius but so out of touch with reality. I guess it goes with the territory.

He'll forever get my respect for that insane "Fantastic Four" verse but that "I got 30 pages of rhymes in this mothafukka :damn:" was one of the most embarrassing hip-hop moments I ever seen. At one point Bis's whole gimmick was his battle prowess. I'll battle you on the net, I'll battle you in the flesh, you know the rest :wow:

2nd Round TKO was a dope song but it was weak when compared to LL's verse. Not only that but he followed it up with a wack debut album. Canibus saw it as an opportunity to blow but...

You can't come into the game as a battle rapper then be dropping shyt like this :scusthov:

I mean, he basically dropped a Wyclef album minus the Wyclef verses :mindblown:

He ethered his won career.

Revisionist thread. LL took canibus verse off because the shyt was too hot.

"You studied my rhyme, then you laced your vocals after mine
That's a bytch move, somethin that a homo rapper would do"

Bis tore LL. Don't know what you're talking about.

Album flopped heavy though:shaq2:

I actually didn't know very many people agreed with me that LL Cool J actually got him....twice.

He got him on 4,3,2,1 and he got em on Rip The Jacker. Hard to claim he didn't get him on RTJ because he was so upset by the verses he thought Eminem wrote them, which is what kicked off their beef too :snoop:

LL's verse on 4321 does not murk the Second Round KO song. I will even allow a healthy debate about it, but it was in no way clearly greater.

"Make your wife get on the horn and call Minister Farrakhan"

For starters.

I have been beat in battles by MCs with lesser bars. It's all about feeding off the other rappers lines and having the crowd on your side and other shyt.

Bis lost cause he swung a big ass haymaker and left his chin exposed. LL - a vet who defeated Moe Dee (a whole nother convo. Moe Dee invented the fast style of rapping single handedly on New Rap Language. Won the first recorded battle against Busy Bee) - counterpunched and decked the young Breh.

Levels.

Nah... Canibus verse without that line was just as dope. LL felt some type of way for him talking about his tat. LL was like :mjpls: who does this nikka think he is. I'm a legend. You a young buck with no track record.

LL was being a bytch about it, BUT his still killed him nevertheless. :umad:.

LL shytted on him subliminally and made it to that no matter what Canibus did, LL was still going to win regardless. 2nd round knock out put too much pressure on Canibus to drop the next Illmatic and he didn't. Not only that he helped LL revive his won career. It was the ultimate chess move. Canibus was too stupid to realize it. If Canibus would've had great producers lined up for his debut album then yeah, It would've been a risk worth taking. But 2nd round knock out was up to that point his ONLY single. Canibus had no track record. He put all of the risk on his shoulders and lost.
