Canibus bodied LL lyrically
LL's verse on 4321 does not murk the Second Round KO song. I will even allow a healthy debate about it, but it was in no way clearly greater.
"Make your wife get on the horn and call Minister Farrakhan"
For starters.
I have been beat in battles by MCs with lesser bars. It's all about feeding off the other rappers lines and having the crowd on your side and other shyt.
Bis lost cause he swung a big ass Haymarket and left his chin exposed. LL - a vet who defeated Moe Dee (a whole nother convo. Moe Dee invented the fast style of rapping single handedly on New Rap Language. Won the first recorded battle against Busy Bee) - counterpunched and decked the young Breh.
Levels.
He lost for swinging in the first place. AND LL warned him not to do it and he did it any way. LL had the high ground. It was a dumb move.
LL's verse was better because of how it did it, the flow he used.. the track was obviously hotter, he made Canibus changed his verse and he actually did it just to be on HIS song.. I mean how many L's can one man take.
Then he gonna let WYCLEF produce his albumOne could say Canibus sold out. He used 2nd round knockout to generate a buzz.. THEN he used fugee crossover records

They were supposed to hash it out too but Canibus went ahead and swung on him. In a way, that song was the best and worst move of his career

And I always thought Canibus was a p*ssy for recording this as well.
"You don't wanna borrow that, you wanna idolize, and you don't wanna make me mad nikka you wanna socialize"![]()
Can't agree with that breh. You can say that it was a dumb move in retrospect but that really was some coward shyt that LL pulled.
LL killed his career.
