In retrospect LL's verse on 4,3,2,1 was better than Canibus 2nd Round TKO.

Canibus has taken some serious Ls outside of music too. He joined the Army and got kicked out for smoking weed (:martin:) which would give him a dishonorable discharge so that means it's damn near impossible for him to land a decent job outside of music.
funny thing is how smart he is and all the shyt he did BEFORE rap

North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
Bis cooked LL something serious. Kool Moe Dee cooked LL too if we're being honest :mjpls:
He cooked him how? Bis was a underground battle rapper so it's not like he did anything outside of what he already knew. LL at that point was a legend. His verse on 4,3,2,1 Ethelred anything Bis did after the fact because his predictions came to fruition. He warned Bis what was gonna happen and it happened. Bis got some shine in the short term but he actually helped LL's career at that point in time than he did his own.

And as far as Kool Moe Dee, nah. LL won that battle as well. You can make a hot diss but if you don't back it up with hits what's the point? There are tons of diss records and battled from the 80's that nobody knows about. At the end of the day if all you're about is diss records and you're not making dope music at the same time then that diss don't matter.

And timing is EVERYTHING. Bis picked the wrong time to get at LL. You can't throw shots at a veteran when you don't have a foundation.

50 cent didn't really start getting at Ja Rule with full force until he started dropping hits, then it was all over.

Once the mid 90's popped off it wasn't able battle records no more. Yeah the streets is watching but rappers was out there going gold and platinum making real money. The game changed. If it was 88 instead of 98 then MAYBE Bis had a chance. But he didn't.

original 4321 verse was so dope LL was bytch made for catching feelings.

LL basically engineered the beef just to crush somebody that was up and coming. It was clear he didn't mean any offense with that line either.

I miss the battle rap version of Canibus before he got all abstract and weird. Those early guest spots before Can-I-Bus came out were so nice.

This thread makes no sense

As everyone has already said, this was some unnecessary engineered beef made worse by LL changing his verse after the fact and coming at Bis

2nd Round KO trumped all of LL's retorts to be honest. This is revisionist bullshyt views.

He didn't engineered nothing. If he was trying to he could've simply would've released the original track. And there were too many unknown things that had to have happened. Not to mention he wouldn't have been that apologetic on the phone :mjpls:

Engineered or not LL didn't honor his part of the deal .. and that is the problem. L agreed to change his verse if Bis did and all L did was make it so you wouldn't know who the verse was about but people found out...

This is why I could never give LL props for this verse. It was a bytch made move.
