his run was always trash. only thing he dropped during run that I had in rotation was C1, which was blatantly ghostwritten. LOL. he'll always just be the weakest hot boy to me.

he had the perfect formula tho.
mainstream guy making catchy punchline rap for dummies.
basically something that everybody can enjoy together.

plus he blew in the grandstanding era where rappers mastered the art of making it seem like youre saying more than you actually are. and wayne mastered it the most:laugh: like when Kanye dropped that wack freestyle at that award show. then slammed the mic down like he just spit the greatest chit ever, and the dumbass crowd popped because of the mic-slamming.

these dudes str8 got over one the youngns. and the youngns will prolly come in here, calling me old, not realizing that I'm younger than these mediocre rappers that they look up to.

'02-'07 Wayne top 5 rapper prime era rapper

lol.

wayne was considered a joke in '02-03.

'04 he had the most blatantly ghostwritten album ever by a rapper claiming to be an emcee.

'05-07 he was meh with some bright-spots but standards were down and rap was on dialysis, so he blew up.

Yeah. Its temporary.

Wayne wont be remembered as an all time great. He ruined any chance of that with his last few projects.

He doesnt belong amongst the goats, he more like Nelly or DMX.

Dominated the game for a few years then disappeared, and no one cared.

DMX is easily top 15. how you disrespect X?

and yes, wayne will be remembered. not so much by people in his age group and older, but theres a generation of kids that grew up on him that don't know any better and never will at this point. unfortunately, his legacy is set breh.

fukk outta here, I haven't seen a rapper better than Wayne in his prime. nikkas still tryna catch up to shyt Wayne was doin 10+ years ago

hate to break it to you, but wayne was merely just a watered-down/commercially accessible version of a semi-underground rapper.

everything he was doing during that time was already being done way better by others. he was just easier for casuals to get into and he had a label backing him all the way.

He was nice though and he definitely influenced pretty much every "trap" rapper out now with thw dreads, cadence, and lingo.
DMX was fukking unstoppable for like 5 years..such a shame

But yeah I always thought Wayne was overrated back in the day, not wack...just very overrated, now tho he's complete trash and has been for like 5 or 6 years

C3 might be one of the mist overrated albums ever. Lyrically he was terrible on it. Horrible simile all over it.

C1-C2 and the first 2 dedications were dope but he was never the best rapper alive.
Yeah I don't understand why people hype C3 as a classic, I think it was because it was his last good album or something

Phone home tho :mjlol:

:russ::mjlol: what kinda dope u using boy, them weak ass punchlines ain't never hurt nobody. Dudes best music is still mixtape freestyles over others beats. Outside of c1 and c2 all the rest of his albums or average or below.

Wayne can still outrap all these new nikkas tho
Na nobody wants to hear them weak ass "I'm hot like fire" punchlines. nikkaz wanna see if u can incorporate that into actually rapping on a topic and making it make sense
Which east coast rapper was making shyt like this huh?!??!? :aicmon: :usure:

You fukking losers, I admit tune took the aesthetic of dipset for a min. But then he grew on to become his own beast. With absolute no ties to NY rap. You fukking bum ass backpackers have been irrelevant since. Go bump some Joey badass and Troy Ave and suck a dikk :umad:

Lame ass New Yorkers always wanna take credit for some shyt
