Paul Pierce said Rodman would be unplayable in this era since he was a zero on offense
he wouuld be wrong, Rodman would be killing even more so on the boards and even more valuable because of the additional possessions he would provide.Paul Pierce said Rodman would be unplayable in this era since he was a zero on offense
To be fair, this was only one game where this happened.
Every other game in the series was extremely close and if Jordan doesn't have one the greatest final 1:30 in NBA history in Game 6, the series goes 7 games.
Jazz outplayed the bulls in both series iirc. More possessions better shooting percentages, Held more leads. 97 was a tied series at 2-2 and they had a 17 point lead they choked away in game 5 and 98 should have been a 7 game series. To be fair, this was only one game where this happened.

Which is why they needed KDIt wasn't too long ago the Cavs let Harrison Barnes lay bricks at will![]()
And he barely plays because of itVanderbilt does this on a weekly basis![]()
It’s why he’s not to be taken serious in these “stan” type threads. He’ll act high & mighty when it’s a thread outright no hand hiding dissing Bron thoRemote 5 starred this threadLeGBT are all the biggest frauds in this Stan shyt.
A 33 year old Gobert - who in the prime of his career averaged 17-11 on 60% shooting - shot 13-22 in the WC finals.
Ostertag at 24 years old went 1 - 7 in 54 point game while being left unguarded.
The other players who platooned at Center, Adam Keefe and Greg Foster went a combined 15-41 from the field.
A 33 year old Rudy Gobert out of his prime would have been a significant upgrade over any big man on the Jazz roster. Sloan would’ve killed for an all defense 2nd teamer averaging 8 points, 9 rebounds on 58% shooting. Are you kidding me comparing him to Ostertag![]()
The 90s was the goat big man era, but we still have threads like this.
How many hall of fame bigs did the bulls have to face in the finals/playoffs. Out of all of them you pick Greg Ostertag?
Pippen taking charges was one of my favorite things in this game. He took a few of them, which unfortunately ended up hurting his back. One of them was on the fast break with Karl Malone coming at him full speed.

They were pretty evenly matched.
98’ is the one Utah probably should have won. The Bulls weren’t as deep as they had been and were up there in age. It didn’t look good for Utah after the game 3 massacre, but the Jazz had HCA and sent the series back to Utah after winning game 5.
Pippen was struggling to move because of his back and the Jazz weren’t able to take advantage as much as they should have.
They did have some bad luck with the officiating though, with those 2 missed shot clock calls.
