Interesting that two of them signed without the third.
HHH basically said Trey Miguel really didn't want it, and ONLY after that came out, did this tweet emerge:

Nowadays, he's posting Impact/indie wrestling heavy, hasn't really mentioned his nephew.

In short, the signs point to Trey's a fukking headcase, the other guys moved on.

Why do dudes act like anything outside of the WWE is the indies?

because the WWE constantly drills these talking points into the psyches of marks.

in that rascalz video package about their debut, they had ember moon up there hitting all the "im glad theyre no longer settling for indie scraps" talking points, as if they havnt been on TV non-stop for the past 2-3 years.

Weird to me they signed with WWE instead of AEW for multiple reasons
1. WWE doesn't give a fukk about tag teams, and with 205, these dudes are going to get relegated there within a couple of months were they to be split up
2. AEW's tag team booking isn't really much better than WWE's, but their presentation of tag teams is so much better even for low card teams
3. The Excalibur/PWG pipeline

AEW already has a bunch of similar teams.

watching them on NXT a couple weeks ago, they looked like pro-level running backs/wide receivers moving at a different speed than the opposing college defenses.
and they werent in there against WWE trash. they were in there against legit workers - swerve & atlas.

worst case scenario: they save 205 live and become a special attraction fan favorite on NXT.
not a bad risk to take, as opposed to signing with AEW, knowing youre gonna get lost in the shuffle.

Like I said though, it ain't about putting them over to people who already know who they are. The announcers are there to try & get them over as big deals to the people who haven't seen them & know nothing about them. NXT/AEW are both the weird middle ground of trying to appeal to both (AEW less so since they pretend everyone should just know whoever shows up) in the current wrestling world.

well they did a terrible job at it.

And the post right above yours was a 100% example of that WWE-only indoctrination :russ:
