Wouldn't this be the equivalent to cornbread? Of the texture/cooking style is different, but it seems like it's being used in a similar fashion.

OT but the chef Julian Jackson in the article for those who don't know is the son of famous boxer same name.
I like Fungi, haven't had it in a very long time tho. Special occasion meals for me.

Edit: ok just called up mom dukes :mjlol: she said yea we do eat it like that but its also used in Santeria rituals as food for ancestors because thats what the ancestors ate... Ive personally never tried it but fukk it now Im interested
