While I agree with the premise of your post, I am somewhat pessimistic in regards to having/raising children - Some people are not cut out to parent & Just had An 'Ooops' baby. [I am having an ongoing discussion with a friend who believes in reincarnation - He states that we chose our parents]
I'm interested in Metaphysics but I have to undo what's been instilled in me all of my life - Paradigm shifts, enlightenment and epiphanies are a WIP as we are our patterns.
The first challenging belief that I am working through is - If God created us to glorify him and if we have free will and if he knew the beginning & end - Then why is he allowing us to be used as chess pieces between him and Lucifer??? <--- I'm sure you can appreciate the struggles of releasing those shackles.
I'm learning a lot but have a lot more to unlearn...
I don't think anyone is cut out to parent - people just adapt to a new reality and the responsibilities that come with it. That's the beauty of humanity. You just have to develop the mindset that you'll cross the bridge when you get there - the same way you adapt and tackle whatever challenges life throws at you everyday. Hence the greatest gift we've as humans is our survivability.
I don't know if we choose our parents and I can't really speak on that.
Er, I don't think you need to unlearn what was instilled in you. You just need to create a new space for your new knowledge/enlightenment to create a balance that will make you navigate easily without being a loner. I tried that when I started reading more about the universe and ancient science and it made me depressed for a long time because 1). You'd be in the minority because your new reality is completely different from the reality of most people out there 2). You're going to start sounding like you have got a few screws loose in your head because everyone else is programmed to think a certain way that's different from you just learned.
I don't think God is using us to play chess between him and lucifer. And I don't believe there's anything called lucifer, just as there's no heaven and hell. That's just a bogeyman created by Abrahamic religions. The God concept is also a complex topic. But what I do know is that there are positive and negative forces in the universe, that operate like the yin yang - to maintain a balance. The universe is an atom and everything in the universe works in unison, hence we as humans can exhale co2 for plants to survive and our survivability is dependent on the oxygen they exhale etc. And in physics, a normal atom has equal positive and negative particles...that's where the concept of good/bad(evil) that religion peddles came from and the whole lucifer thing.
Western civilisation somewhat made our existence much more complex than it's. If you can take time out to study ancient civilisations - you'd see how simple life is. And the ancients had a better understanding of the universe than our present civilisation, despite "science" and all the "technologies" we claim we've.
