So out of the blue one day, Black folks just stopped playing baseball?

Everybody I know played Little League when I was a kid. It was a HUGE deal in the hood.

I understand how they GROW players in the Domincan.

What I'm saying is that we GREW baseball players as well.

How did the Negro Leagues exist if we didn't?

Basketball and football were just more open and inviting of Black folks and Black culture than baseball was/is, which is still determined to be stuck in the 19th century.

This is a very different argument than the one I responded to.

That's a load of bullshyt. You obviously don't know how racist football use to be to black players, especially in the south.

So you're saying black kids aren't playing baseball cause of what they show on ESPN? :dahell:

When did ESPN start making career decisions for the youth? :whoa:

It's valid point, ESPN is The sports media in this country to the younger generation. So what they show, has a big influence.

Hitting a baseball consistently is one of the hardest things to do in all sports. But baseball is a sport where you dont need to be a great athlete. If your a slugger and can hit 3+/10 you can be :flabbynsick: year round and stay :eat:big .
