Everybody I know played Little League when I was a kid. It was a HUGE deal in the hood.

What I'm saying is that we GREW baseball players as well.

How did the Negro Leagues exist if we didn't?

Basketball and football were just more open and inviting of Black folks and Black culture than baseball was/is, which is still determined to be stuck in the 19th century.

Nah, if my son had an equal chance at the MLB, NFL or NBA I'd steer my him into baseball, the contracts and the lack of wear and tear on the body.

Basketball and football players can barely walk when they're 40.

Hitting a baseball consistently is one of the hardest things to do in all sports. But baseball is a sport where you dont need to be a great athlete. If your a slugger and can hit 3+/10 you can be year round and stay big .
