Jay has always talked about money...ever since his FIRST album. So it's crazy to say that he does it to become relevant when he's been doing it since his debut album.

But Nas changed his formula by working with Super producers and duing a collabo album like Jay. Again....failed attempts doe

One of the reasons is that Jay understands image. He keeps it classy, calm/collected, and doesnt make a bufoon of himself like most rappers.

For the most part he makes the right moves, stays current, and stays in the lane where he knows he's got a core group of followers.

He's very smart guy when it comes to his image, what he portrays, and how he comes across to pop culture as a whole.
