This particular streamer has had issues with weirdos in the past. Last year her security guard stopped some dude from following her around the event and that somehow got the guard banned. Twitch clearly does not take the safety of their creators seriously.

That has got to be seriously scary for her. Some of these weirdos end up killing these women they obsess over

I thought like that myself but after Covid hit and i started to work from home, i slowly got into watching streams while working. Sometimes just having them as background noise was enough but also watching them play games i had some interest in but not wanting to play myself was cool. Even if i do play the game it is interesting to see how other people play (and fail) at the same game.

Between that and other streams that deal with sports i find it is pretty cool to watch as a side activity, not as something I do only. If you look for stuff you are interested in and not just watch the big streamers, it is alright.

When the PS4 streaming thing was popping before it was all twitch streams, I would check out streams of games I was interested in buying or watch some Injustice 2 streams just to have on in the background

This shyt more normal than you think. I used to bounce part-time at Club La Vela I had to throw nikkas off the stage that would try to bum rush the female club goer dancers.
