Having worked with Indians in the tech field I can't say he's lying. The Americanized ones tend to be cool as hell but the first generation ones are hell to work with. They have no sense of ethics and operate strictly off a might makes right mentality.

And lying is like breathing. They lie to team members, clients, managers to the detriment of projects.

I was a program manager and worked with FOB and Offshore Indians. Getting an accurate update on status of work so I can present to senior level clients was hell. They left me out to hang more than a few times at the beginning before I became hip of their dishonesty.

They lie even when they don’t need to. Instead of asking for more time to complete tasks even with no penalty, they’ll just lie. I’ve never come across anything like it before in my life and I’ve worked with many different groups.

the westernized Indian immigrants we often saw in the west were like the cream of the crop back home. people forgot India has massive poverty and inequality.

They were not a major issue in Canada compared to any other new comer. What we did in the last 5 years is open an exploit for poor unskilled and uneducated Indians to flood over here. Indian people with long standing in Canada are depressed, angry, frustrated. their image has taken a collective hit. some of them are waging war against newcomers themselves. they try to make it a case of blaming mostly punjab people but outsiders don't know or care to differentiate between what type of Indian is good or bad.
