I can't agree with this. If 15 different black people need to have their own wing spots and 10 different black people need to have their own gas stations, this is what needs to happen.
This is how businesses branch out. Most spots had one spot, became popular, opened 2 spots, expanded, became regional and if lucky national, if luckier international. We aren't just going to roll the dice and start some national chain, or international.
Hell Casey's gas stations bought a bunch of buckys in the Midwest, so now the top gas stations are Quick Trip and Caseys. Happens all the time acquisitions and mergers.
A black business coulda bought
Payless shoes. Coulda bought
Kmart or Shopko, shyt maybe even ended up with
sears except for the fact that there were no black front runners. There's no black shoe store chain by one guy or a family that had stores and was willing to go national. And you aren't just gonna be black and rich and just buy Payless or
Kmart and have that shyt float.
There's too many businesses that started out as just one, grew into 2 and now are staples. Mcdonalds, Wendy's, Papa John's, all the sandwich places, dairy queen.
Everyone else is doing it flawlessly, fast food, laundromats, gas stations, hair cutting places, you name it.
