The Q70 is the only Infinity worth owning ..
I didn't realize they still had the V8 option. :ohhh:

Oh well, I'm still happy with my lil ol' G37 coupe. But hey, I might've been in a Lexus right now if I didn't care so much about having a manual.

NASHVILLE — Infiniti has killed its QX70 midsize crossover, effective immediately, as it prepares to shift more attention to other crossovers.

Dealers have been notified that the nameplate — formerly known as Infiniti FX — will not be offered in the 2018 model year, a spokesman confirmed.

Infiniti is banking on a newer product, a redesigned QX50 compact crossover, to play a dominant role over the next two to three years. According to sources outside the company, Infiniti wants to steer marketing and customer attention to the new QX50, which it believes has the potential to become the brand's top-seller.

But according to the sources, Infiniti is plotting a comeback for the V-6 powered five-seater with a distinctive rear-sloping back end. A replacement crossover will arrive in 2021 or 2022 based on the Nissan Murano, :snoop:which is built in Canton, Miss.

The QX70 was a bold design statement when it first appeared as the FX in 2003, and after its design update in 2009. But it is now wedged between crossover and SUV offerings that are being updated with a new look.

The larger QX80 will receive a svelte new design in the next year or two. And the QX50 — which languished for years with low sales and a package too small for most shoppers — now has the company's full marketing attention. The redesigned QX50 will be on sale next year.

Somebody claimed a RWD QX70 replacement was ready to go, but management cancelled it. This will make 3 FWD cars in their line-up. Next thing you know, they decide that they miss the I30 and bring back a re-badged Maxima. They're gonna fukk around and turn into Acura. :bryan:

An infiniti will always be better than a run of the mill nissian/ford/chevy/dodge/toyota/honda lol

I'd put them ahead of asian competitors lexus and acura for someone who wants a sports luxury car. Those too are too bland to drive.

What were you thinking of getting instead lincolns buicks and caddys have reliability problems and look dated as fukk after 2-3 years and the germans with audi/MB/BMW are expensive to maintain

breh the LC 500 shyts on the entire Infiniti brand combined so stop the madness. Lexus has something for everyone while Nissan can't even shyt out a GT-R clone for Infiniti to compete with the other luxury tourers. Meanwhile, the (formerly know) FX is long in the tooth just like QX80, which itself is just a rebadged Nissan Patrol, which has been around since forever. The lineup needs a revamp badly and first thing is to go back to the old names for their cars. G35/G37 was just finding its footing as a brand and they tossed it in the trash just like Cadillac has done by letting the same fukk boy switch up something that didn't need to be changed.

Look at the Lexus lineup and it has at least been refreshed in the last 2-3 years with the new LC, the new LS, the RC, the new RX, and nearly everything gets and F variant. Lineup might not be as fragmented as MB or BMW but with Infiniti all there is, is a bunch of crossovers, an aging big SUV, sedans that don't look better than their Nissan brother and one damn coupe which is the best in the lineup

They were supposed to, though...

They took the GTR drivetrain and put it in Q50, put it on the show circuit, then they said "fukk y'all, we don't want your money". Its like somebody in their chain of command doesn't want the brand to be known for performance.

I'll say this as a longtime Infiniti owner, they have hustled backwards the past 3 or 4 years. I have no idea why they are killing the FX/QX 70 it's a big seller out in Jersey especially in the hood. It's fun to drive still and the interior amenities are still nice if a bit dated. The new Q60 coupe is very nice though the interior again needs an overhaul. But Infiniti is letting Nissan's success recently drive the way they do Infiniti which is again odd since they seemed to be going in a positive direction and then just abandoned it. I still have my M56x but it's getting up there in miles and this is first time I may consider not going with an Infiniti for my next car.
