The real problem is people are not being given the right incentive.

Of course people aren't going to be motivated to work when the job pays them peanuts and provides no security. They're no longer buying into the con.
:childplease: money is not the reason these kids are lazy as fukk. They are just lazy. Give them a $150k salary based job in silicon valley right now, and in 2 months they will be finding something to bytch about :childplease:

Every digital sports book is hiring as the grown is still rapidly happening. Get paid handsomely to have a career surrounding sports. Plenty of opportunity. Or complain about lack of incentives and the job jig being up on a message board. See which one pays more dividends

When Fanduel and them other online books got to legally operate in NY I bet their $$ and hiring went through the fukking roof

I was a manager and one of my priorities when interviewing was to make sure the candidate either knew Microsoft Office and email etiquette or could be taught.

Some of the young people I interviewed didn't have the skillset. They just never used Excel or PowerPoint enough. They were used to smartphones so didn't understand some of the relatively simple things you can do in a desktop environment.

I don't know what your spiel about the "executive class" or remote work has to do with what I'm saying. Your anger is directed at the wrong person.
My guy, I barely knew any excel either and got a job back when I had first gotten out of accounting. You're their leader, give them options to learn those skills and build the into better employees. You sound lazy, they have tech skill and can figure it out just point em in the right direction. Everything I learned was self taught and I'm better at excel than most people in my unit.

Nah, they just ain't falling for the okie doke from the corporate propaganda telling them to work til they drop. They recognize that they are having to get into debt at 18 for a chance to get a low paying job that won't pay enough. They can't even enjoy a day off without worrying if their job will be seen as redundant when they come back, never mind getting affordable healthcare or a home. When the game is rigged, the only way to win is not to play.

People want to work for financial security and time outside of work to find fulfillment with their money, not bullshyt plaques to put in their cubicle and pizza parties. Nobody on their deathbed is going to be like "Shyt, I wish I worked more to make the shareholders more cash for their new yacht." We all got one life to live, if you are content spending every waking hour revolving around your job, more power to you. Just don't try to push your mental illness on others.

Alot of these boomers and some Gen Xs have dogshyt lives outside of their office or if they are a manager, allow a bullshyt job title that could get snatched from them in a instance inflate their heads. Their office is their home. Their coworkers are their family. They are essentially rudderless zombies propped up by what some CEO tells them to justify getting fukked for low pay.

I'm an engineer and successful musician, I will not look back on my deathbed with any regrets....

I have always had a passion for STEM and music and worked extensively at it to become successful...

But they gotta have a passion first...6 figs doesn't just come out the sky...

If you 20+ asking "What am I gonna do with my life".. They losing big time...

Incredible. This poster is out of his mind. Out of touch and clueless. I promise you didn't actually speak to anybody to come up with that assessment.

They're supposed to come ready made. :sas2:

Folks rip on the youth heavy but who raised them? :sas2:

Grandma and granddad huh? Because mom and dad had to work. :sas2:

All these terrible cycles in play. But let's just call them lazy and be done with it.

The crazy thing is when they try to threaten to sue or try and scam but because they are too lazy to get educated they completely blunder it and look so dumb.

There was a guy a while back threatening to sue by sending emails that had a million grammatical errors and CC'ed a few state representatives and some random paralegal.

Keep bytching about them and that labor shortage is only gonna get worse. You need to be finding ways to meet them in the middle because they're the emerging workforce. America is headed straight into Japan territory because they refuse to cooperate with the people's desires. You cant do things the old way forever. Remote work was a good compromise and look how many companies tried to run that back. Obviously you can't just give them everything they want but you gotta try to understand them to be successful.

It’s so ridiculous don’t no one come out of school an expert in excel. These jobs are unreasonable and these so called managers have zero interest in helping shape these kids into good employees. They’d rather be lazy and sit around And whine about how mother fukkers ain’t a ready made product. Truly pathetic shyt

exactly i applied for a training position at my job which is two tiers above my current position and they said i wouldnt get a pay increase but it would be a "promotion". everyone telling me it would be a great opportunity and experience and thay i should still do it. these companies think younger gen is stupid and gone work hard for a pat on the back. we not our parents.

Gen Z: "I wanna hoop for the NBA"
Millennial/GenX: "Bet...let me see what you can do"
Gen Z: "Naw...that was the old way...no need to practice, but lemme get on TNT tonight"
Millennial/GenX: "But you gotta practice"
Gen Z: "Boomer!!!!"
Millenial/GenX: "I'm 42"

One thing I'll add is that we need to stop collectively putting the sins of millennials on Gen Z.

As much as we say Gen Z are entitled, want everything for nothing etc. etc. it fails to remove the articles bytching about how zoomers won't spend money and how they're checking out of relationships.

This living beyond one's means is something we millennials must take ownership of. We're the ones who place value on materialistic things like expensive holidays, expensive clothes, expensive dates. It is that way because we kind of follow the expectations from a generation that grew up in a time where their money went further.

Nope that ain't how america works. We are a capitalistic country that is racist but not Xenophobic (like China and Japan) when it comes to making money. America will do what it always has when it has a short labor force have folks come here whether due to their own accord or by force (as they did with black folks) to come here and do the work that others won't do.

As I tell these young gen Zers in my family (nieces and nephews through marriage) who getting their education. Its even easier now to get on now then ever before because you got baby boomers retiring and a group of american gen Zers that don't want to work. You go get a highly skilled degree in a high paying field get experience and bounce around (save and invest your money) and them suckers that don't want to work will be shut out once the jobs dry up in the economy downturn cycle. You will out last all your competition and be higher up on the totem pole. If nothing else cause you planned got a high skilled degree and got experience then fools will be reporting to you in the workforce!

Meaning your income will be much higher than those who will bull shyt around before settling down in a field and a career. Which also means you will be about to retire earlier than them or go and do what you want to do at a younger age. So like a brotha like @ORDER_66 would say you bought low and sold high leaving out the back door while fools left holding the bag.

These fools don't understand jobs are musical chairs. Just because there are plenty of jobs now and you can turn your nose up doesn't mean them chairs aren't going to be removed from the circle and create a situation where there are more people than jobs (never forget 2008 thru 2012 or after the dot com crash).

Hey its cool to not want to work but the problem is most these young fools ain't got no backup plan if they against working.

As @Booksnrain said many of these clowns living off they momma and daddies and grandparents talking about they don't want to work or that life is hard. How you in your 20s and 30s not doing nothing then living with your family who paying your bills and got the nerve to turn your nose up at work or talking about life is hard?

I am an ain't shyt capitalist b*stard so this means nothing to me in the end. Its just means there will be folks I can make money off of in the the next great economical downturn cause while they were enjoying the high life I was in the bushes waiting for my time to attack when they starting strolling in the plains injured.
