nikkas just quote shyt they hear off ESPN blindly. I get into it all the time with nikkas in here over this.
I've never heard that Bortles can't read a defense.
I don't hear about Dalton not being able to read a defense.
Never heard Foles called a system QB, runs a gimmick offense or can't read a defense
Never heard that about Shaub and most of the dink and dunk mediocre back up white qbs in the league.
It's not about being shyt on. It's more how the media implies that "certain" QBs are mentally incapable playing the position; they just throw to "wide open" 1st reads or run. How many For other guys it's "bad throw" "he's a gunslinger " "he's still learning the offense" "forcing it in there" "the defense made a play". But the other ones it's he flat out can't play and that assumption is made very quickly.
I'm a Redskins fan. In at least 3 different points of this season people were calling it a career on Robert. Both on here and in sports media. He's 24 and had a top 3 rookie season ever and people were trying to close the book on his career in week 2 from a ankle injury.
And don't get me started on the ESPN segments. I saw a one on Kaep recently where they cherrypick one of their stats like "Since week ___ " so they can push narratives along. But on the other end of the spectrum EVERY YEAR we get a "Alex Smith: Not just a game manager" BSPN segment and now "Ryan tannehill is underrated" is becoming a staple.
I just see the bullshyt
