“'Inside the NBA,' the show that everybody loves, has done more damage to the NBA the last decade than anything.” -Jason McIntyre

People seem to like watching ex-players shyt on the current day NBA on a studio show than actually watch current day NBA.

I've never seen this amount of negativity around the NBA in my lifetime (39 years, 30 or so year fan).

What's crazy and amazing is that there are people are in constant denial that the NBA is a trash product right now.

@Gil Scott-Heroin is in deep denial. :mjlol:

I'd ask you to reflect on the state of the country right now, as to why there's not only negativity around the NBA, but more negativity than in the last 50 years, but you just posted some Right-wing propoganda about the latest school shooter [Natalie Rupnow] being a "trans leftist" and that "Democrats were to blame", when she's actually a real girl white supremacist.

You don't know what's up from down.

The only ones who're in denial are those who can't deal with the fact the NBA has passed them by.

Active players at the time (like Bird, Chuck and Rodman) shytted on the 90s product calling the league diluted, and yet y'all consider that as the golden era. Go figure.

I guess the NBA has passed by a good half of their American viewing audience then :francis:

This has already been debunked as being untrue. Those stats were a fabrication.

Again, I wouldn't expect you to know this given how easily fooled you are by Right-wing propaganda.

Oh so now you can admit that older players talking down on the newer product had little bearing on whether fans actually enjoyed and tuned into the sport. :ohhh:

There is so much horse shyt in your post. Jesus Christ. I’ll just mention one aspect, sports are the one thing that shouldn’t pass anyone by. It’s something that multiple generations should be able to sit down and enjoy, something you can bond over, and pass down traditions through. The fact that you are casually mentioning the NBA passing by a segment of fans shows there is a huge problem and the league needs to address it.

To solve a problem you first need to recognize that there is one!

Today is know different.

Fans still enjoy the product:

- NBA fans in this country has increased since 2019
- NBA is more popular globally than it's ever been
- NBA has the largest following on social media out of every sports league in the world (yes, you read that right, every sports league).

The only difference is, we have delusional cats like you who can gather together on forums like this and think that the echo chambers y'all thoughts and posts exist in are reflective of the majority.

But they do.

That's just a fact of life.

Especially if that sport in question deviates from the style of play that cats grew up on and they no longer identify with the game or the players. If the NFL ever became an international game, an overwhelming amount of White America would find something else to do on Sundays. Just like the NFL could have the worst product imaginable, but if it still kept it's American identity, it's not going to lose fans. That's because it's part of this country's fabric.

The problem is with those who don't like change, not the product.

The NBA isn't an American game anymore, not stylistically, culturally and its best players come from foreign countries. It's an international game now, influenced by all corners of the globe. This is the next evolution of change that's come from the NBA being a global sensation.

Charles Barkley openly told NBA fans NOT to watch the playoffs on that show.

Give me an example of another show representing a sports league that openly does that for it’s league.

Charles spoke 100% facts about rh rockets after they beat the GSW. They don’t know how to play winning basketball but they’re uber talented and give 100% effort.

Im a rockets fan( and the primera Rocket’s fan on this forum) and pretty much every rockets fan agreed with Chuck and the crew about their comments about the rockets. Jalen shouldn’t be a feast or famine type of player. Sengun needs to get eh euro out of his game. This guy gets offensive rebounds under the basket and looks to pass out way too often .ime needs to go find a Joe Mazulla to run the offense and send Ben Sullivan back to Boston

If a couple of old retired HoFers taking a few jabs in jest, on the way to 19 Emmys and counting, is what's "irreparably damaging the branding of your sport/league"... then your league and the product it's putting out is the problem. Hate to break that simple fact to the serpentine commissioner and the imbeciles in network and social media who actually think he's been doing a bang up job. :unimpressed:

The irony of this moron, on fukking Cowherd's Fox Sports (the worst network for coverage of all the big 3 American sports leagues by FAR) show of all platforms, trying to be the arbiter of who's fault it is the NBA ratings are in the toilet and doling out blame to others... when he historically is one of, if not THE most uninformed "analysts" about the league and sport as a whole, as a fantasy/sports betting shill first and foremost, is also laughable. :mjlol: :camby:
