Oh so now you can admit that older players talking down on the newer product had little bearing on whether fans actually enjoyed and tuned into the sport.
Today is know different.
Fans still enjoy the product:
- NBA fans in this country has increased since 2019
- NBA is more popular globally than it's ever been
- NBA has the largest following on social media out of every sports league in the world (yes, you read that right, every sports league).
The only difference is, we have delusional cats like you who can gather together on forums like this and think that the echo chambers y'all thoughts and posts exist in are reflective of the majority.
There is so much horse shyt in your post. Jesus Christ. I’ll just mention one aspect, sports are the one thing that shouldn’t pass anyone by.
But they do.
That's just a fact of life.
Especially if that sport in question deviates from the style of play that cats grew up on and they no longer identify with the game or the players. If the NFL ever became an international game, an overwhelming amount of White America would find something else to do on Sundays. Just like the NFL could have the worst product imaginable, but if it still kept it's American identity, it's not going to lose fans. That's because it's part of this country's fabric.
The fact that you are casually mentioning the NBA passing by a segment of fans shows there is a huge problem and the league needs to address it.
To solve a problem you first need to recognize that there is one!
The problem is with those who don't like change, not the product.
The NBA isn't an American game anymore, not stylistically, culturally and its best players come from foreign countries. It's an international game now, influenced by all corners of the globe. This is the next evolution of change that's come from the NBA being a global sensation.
