This was from Webber in 2020.

All you need to know about the modern NBA

Here's the funny thing about this clip -

I'm assuming you're alluding to Webber talking about the stepback 3 from House Jr.? You'll get no arguments from anyone that being a bad shot, but if you notice on the very next possession, Westbrook takes a midrange shot that's just as bad considering he was 1v1 and could've got to the rim.

Seems a bad shot selection all around by Houston on that sequence, don't you think?

I don't know what the obssession is with y'all finding isolated, bad plays and tarnishing the whole state of the league with it.

When y'all wax lyrical about the 80s and 90s, y'all don't find the worst plays to represent those eras do you? Y'all find the best of the best plays, and conveniently ignore all the bad. It's like nothing bad happened in the past, and nothing good happens today. I think some of y'all really need to question if you actually like hoops, or you just like your childhood.

They literally posted a stat a minute later showing the 3 point attempts and makes for both teams. The rockets made 3 out of 36.

The Clippers weren't any better at 9/33.

Lol at the Westbrook slander. Use your eyes and stop pushing an agenda. There were 4 guys ready to dive to the paint to defend it if he drove.

Only a dummy would argue this is a good shot. Your team is 2/35 from deep. There are 19 seconds on the shot clock. No attempts at penetration to the rim for a lay or kick out three. A step back off balance 3 with 18 seconds left on the shot clock.

:dead:

My coach would have benched me for that stupidness.

Stopped fukking with that show cause none of them actually watch basketball and they have some straight minstrel show shyt on their.

A fat black man who can't say any word with more than 3 syllables trying to guess what team a player plays on cause he never watches the game and a white guy next to him laughing asking "who he play fo"? Should just put a necklace of bananas around Barkley neck at that point.

Ernie whole spiel about Kap when all the kneeling shyt was happening and Trump first term showed me who he is behind closed doors. Hopefully the next time he gets cancer the cancer wins.

Dam. But i agree with the Barkley shyt. They put these nikkas on tv when they dont even watch games. Its crazy.

News flash for you dudes too. Yall think Stephen A out here watching games too?:pachaha:

Did you see me say that?

I asked you to post the clip, I want to see it.

Name a single NFL/MLB/NHL show that has done this?

Name name a single show that has encourage people not to watch the league attached to his name? You cannot. Name it. Name names.

The quoting isn't working for me right now, but that's a wild take @NYC Rebel

:russ:

Charles is unfettered, but he's tapped in ngl. I watched a couple quarters of the Knicks Cleveland game. Otherwise didn't bother with the east until later.

Still wild he said that.

You mean to tell me that two teams shot poorly?

That's a novel concept I've never heard before during an 82-game regular season where there's naturally going to be lows. Why do y'all constantly emphasize the bad when y'all don't do it for any other era? Why do y'all cherry-pick the worst possible sequences/games as if the past didn't have same relative ugliness?

This is some just regular season game (of two teams who didn't amount to shyt). I can find you Finals games from the past that have this type of ugly play.
Lol at the Westbrook slander
Westbrook slander?

I'm not slandering him, I'm merely pointing out there's a poor shot from midrange in that clip too, which is an all too fitting juxtapose that the Rockets couldn't even hit a midrange shot, which is typically a criticism that folks have when 3s aren't falling, their solution is "why not take more midrange shots?". The fact that you think I'm slandering him instead of actually seeing the hilarity in that cat trying to prove some distortion he has about modern offenses and 3s, only further proves my point.

Y'all focus on the bad 3, but not the bad midrange shot.

Nxgga, use your muh'fukken eyes.

Westbrook is one of the fastest players that's ever touched a NBA hardwood. He's made a living in the league getting to the rim, no matter who stands in his way; one of his greatest traits is his aggressiveness and fearless style of play. Yet here you're telling me that no-defense-playing ass cats like Montrez Harrell and Lou Williams (the only two in position to protect the rim) were going to stop him if he wanted to take it to the rack? Yet here you're telling me this iteration of Westbrook, who averaged 27 ppg and was #2 in transition points that season, couldn't have got into the lane if he really wanted to for an easier shot?

If you're going to go out of your way to quote me, next time don't come with this weak shyt.

First of all, brevity is the soul of wit.

Second, the Rockets are being left on the perimeter because they haven't proved that they can create an efficient 3. There are 5 defenders within 3 feet of the basket.

:russ:

They have to briskly walk two steps and they all collapse and force a turnover on his drive. Your nose is in the stats so you can't see what is plain as day. Do better.

Here's 10 minutes of Westbrook dunking during that season. Look at all the players move out the way when they see him coming down the lane.

Yet you're still trying to force this narrative that Trez and Lou were only a brisk walk from stopping him from getting to the rim? Who the fukk have either of those nxggas ever stopped at the rim? The only hope they have is fouling him. And you have the nerve to say I can't see something that is plain as day?

Y'all cats sure do love doubling down on being wrong. Can't walk back your dumb shyt for nothing.

Westbrook is done at this point. He walked back on defense after the miss, looked at the ball in the air, didn't attempt to get the long rebound on defense and walked in slow motion back on offense. He's not putting in any more effort during that quarter.

But you're gonna post a 10 minute clip of him rushing down the court when games are still winnable.

How many times are you going to move the goalposts, inadverently contradicting your own argument?

:picard:

First you contest my claim of Westbrook's shot being a bad option, but here you say saying in this post that he was done at this point and wasn't showing any effort. By that deduction, you agree that it was a bad shot because he wasn't showing any effort in order to get a better one. You essentially agree that if he was showing effort, he could've taken it to the rim, proving your first argument to be false. In your hastiness of trying to get one up on me, you ended up clowning yourself.

This is all after you allude to him having no other choice but to shoot that midrange shot because it was his only option.

That was the worst option he could've taken in that scernario.

Furthermore, if you believe he was done at that point given the margin of the game, can't the same be applied to all the other players, hence why House Jnr. put up a shot that he otherwise wouldn't have done if the game was tight. Couldn't you argue they were all going through the motions and wanted to fast forward the game?

You even had the nerve to say I was slandering him, when your post above is far more applicable to slander.
