And there are articles and examples of people doing shyt for likes. Just like people here will say shyt for daps.
:dwillhuh:

And that's exactly why they are making the necessary moves to reduce this aspect of using their platforms. They don't want people doing or posting shyt only for the like count, they want people to post and share things that they have a genuine feel for.

I deleted my IG last year but I think the app could be great to stay connected to the others and celebrate your life + people you care about on it

For me the problem was is I feel as if I need to do more in life and im following hella people partaking in an e-clout competition. I think if used the right way the app is great but the clout chasing is crazy on there

As I said, that shyt uses people and brings out the worst in them because thats how it was designed. shyt is basically heroin or crack.

And I disagree with you in regards of staying in touch with people. It's a very, very lazy way of doing it. It's allows people to take other people for granted which is like someone sees theres a green light online under whoever's name or they posted a picture of them doing something, that doesn't mean anything. You dont know where someones head is at or what's happening in their lives for real. That shyt really ain't the wave. Better off texting, calling or actually being around those people if possible. Might allow someone to meet new people but thats a stretch because anybody can make themselves to be anything on there so cant trust or believe that shyt. Everyone is hiding something on that shyt about themselves and honesty isnt the thing thats encouraged on that shyt.

That shyt at most should be a supplement not a complete alternative.

Now if they can just get rid of public likes and view counts that would be step in the right direction.

Only time I will support the Government if they wrote this into Law to these social media companies.

It's the only reason these corny ass muhfukkas be doin stupid shyt in public.

And this is exactly what I meant by my post on the 1st page. Platform needs to go back to peeps sharing things genuinely, you can see your own likes and view counts, public can't, companies can still track your ad engagement and content numbers.

nobody has the time or energy to keep switching between profiles just to follow/like IG hoes. if nikkas got a problem with who i follow or what posts i like, unfollow me.

Spoken like a man who didn't set up his own vpn...then set up two separate fake google accounts...and then whenever he wants to get his :mjlit: on online, he uses the vpn network and the fake accounts so their is no trace to his home network and real accounts...

Not that I would know anything about that...it's just...you know...some stuff i read about staying anonymous online:mjlit:

I think people are overestimating that removing likes would kill IG 1st off the majority of people wont migrate/use another social media apps outside of IG,FB,Twitter,Snap,YT, and reddit so you think they'd migrate to a brand new site that hardly gets traffic just for likes? 2nd Those apps i mentioned would eventually be snuffed or bought out the competition. Why you think there hasnt been a decent Youtube alternative/competititor after all these years. Same with IG FB absorbed it and now controls it.
