Instances where you've faced racism

Me myself I remember back when I was >10 years old I'd be in the nearby grocery store getting me some candy or something and everytime I rounded a corner where a old white lady was they'd get visibly scared. Once a white lady rounded the corner on me and told me she was "watching" me. I really didnt understand the context until years later

Another time a couple months ago I was in the same store with a couple of buds. We were standing opposite sides of the corridor, with plenty of space for people to walk by. This middle-aged white guy, already red in the face, walked up and purposely hit my foot and went fukking apeshyt at me saying I blocked the way or some shyt. I went right back at the fukker tho and he got scared + one of the employers kicked him out cuz they saw what happened.

The first day of my honors class in middle school, my white teacher pulled me aside and asked if I had the right classroom.
That was definitely not the worst encounter I ever faced but it still made me doubt myself as a person

Nah, I've had buddies tell me they ran into a straight wall of racism sometimes. I've just been fortunate to not get any direct disrespect, don't know if I'd keep my cool or lose my freedom. especially when I try and give everyone the benefit of the doubt. that would fukk with me heavy.

no disrespect to you or your boss, but that's hella gay. we'd be up in arms if a white boss hired a white employee only based on them sharing the same skin.

hopefully your boss stops that, and hopefully you don't adopt that mind set.

Everybody who walks in the office gets a 'hi, how are you?" from me. A group of 4 walked in...one CAC looked me in the eye and said absolutely nothing. I repeated myself and he still said nothing. Gave me that "how in the world are YOU in this position" vibe....I just chuckled and hit him with a slight and kept it moving

I always was schooled on our history from an early age and what our parents/grands generation and before faced that shaped our lives today...but it wasn't until I was in 5th grade in NC and some lil white girl in class called me a ****** that it felt like somebody spit in my face
