People are misunderstanding.

Race as a concept was created by a group of white men in the 1700s.

It has no genetic basis. It is a social construct. CACS created it, therefore they defined who was black.

Those same white men who went to Africa and called the people there black ALSO went to Austalia and called the people there black.

It is that simple. “Black” as a racial term did not exist before some random CAC muttered it in the 1700s. It’s that simple.

It is NOT cultural. It is simply a pseudoscientific fictional term made into a social reality.

I mean of you look black, you kind of are black

Not african but black.

Big difference between being African and being black

This makes sense.

I was watching a documentary recently about a black tribe in Indonesia called Bajau tribe. Apparently, they’re all over that region in Asia & they’re black with African features. But they’re an underwater tribe that mostly live under water & build houses on water. They’re are also the best divers in the world & can hold their breath under water for 5mins.

Also, I think how people view themselves is important rather than labelling them. If they view themselves as black (like Cathy Freeman who’s Australian aborigine), then it’s calm. But if they don’t like a lot of Sri Lankans that have black skin - it’s better to let them be.

Clearly. The fukk ?

Black is a term we've made for the diaspora so yes.

Black is also a term used to describe black Americans without a true nationality which is how most people identify themselves. A moniker for a nameless people
Without a true nationality?

You people look at race in such simplistic terms. So much so that all you have is 'black' to describe thousands and thousands of years of learning, invention, evolution and development of a species.

Yoooo, coli brehs, let me know, are these people black too so I can assimilate their pain and achievements into my own identity?!

I dunno. Maybe that mentally is just par for the course, a byproduct of being so unsure of one's own heritage, which is only the fault of those who enabled slavery and subjugation based solely on skin tone. I just find these topics tired and think everyone would be better off just being unashamedly themselves as they seek self improvement. Or maybe this alcohol has got me too fukked up.

Do you, Coli.
