And everyone steals moves, so I can't knock that. But Kobe sharked Jordan's whole existence (minus 4 Finals MVPs, and 8 scoring titles)

from the way he walked and talked and his whole style. He's definitely the closest to Jordan, but still an inferior copy nonetheless.

JUST TO TAKE THE TWO PLAYERS HIGHEST SCORING YEARS AS AN EXAMPLE, MJ SCORED 37.1 PPG IN 1986-1987, WHEN TEAMS WERE AVERAGING 109.9 PPG. IN CONTRAST, KOBE SCORED 35.4 PPG IN 2005-2006, WHEN TEAMS WERE AVERAGING 97.1 PPG.

OR, TO PUT IT ANOTHER WAY:
MJ: 37.1/109.9 = 0.337579618
KOBE: 35.4/97.1 = 0.364572606

KOBE'S "RATIO," BASED ON 109.9 POINTS PER GAME, WOULD HAVE EQUALED 40.1 PPG.

WHEN SEEN IN THE CONTEXT OF HIS ERA, KOBE'S PEAK SCORING IS EVEN MORE IMPRESSIVE.

This is common sense for all knowledgeable people, Kobe is GOAT.

If you do a talent and skill valuation through film study, Kobe is without a doubt more skilled.

Legacy wise jordan will always have the edge due to media awards and the hype he rode on.

You had a better chance of arguing that Lebron is a better "basketball player" than MJ. Basketball is more than just offense and your whole "without a doubt more skilled" is way off. If Kobe was better, or even arguably better, he would have more than one league MVP, at least one defensive player of the year award, and would have a higher career field goal percentage.

If Kobe had more "skill" why is his career FG% lower?
