Did I not just bring out shot charts and stats from entire playoffs and seasons in which it's been PROVEN that Jordan's mid-range percentage hung around 46-50%??? Did you not see that Kobe's very best year from mid-range was 45%, meaning it was lower than many of Jordan's years?
Also did I not relent that Kobe was in fact a better three-point shooter than Michael Jordan? But you ignored everything else that I posted and went straight to that. You're failing to acknowledge that Michael Jordan has some of the best metrics from 10-18 feet EVER recorded since the start of the 1990's. Kobe does not surpass or tie Jordan in mid-range shooting, which makes this more of a contest than you'd like to admit. Since you'd like to ignore finishes at the basket (which, conveniently, Jordan has an edge in also), all we have to compare and debate about is mid-range shooting and three-point shooting. Three-point shooting does overall belong to Kobe (though it's not such a huge discrepancy that I'd pick Kobe over Jordan as an OVERALL shooter).
Also, I'd like to point out that Jordan was an improving three-point shooter since 1990, when threes became more acclimated into the game. He got to the point where you could not sag off and wait for him to drive or post up.
Jordan's three-point shooting from 1989-90 to 1992-93 (before the three-point line was shortened):
229/668 = 34.3%
Jordan in all years minus the shortened three-point years:
343/1189 = 28.8%
Jordan overall:
581/1778 = 32.7%
Now, let's go to Kobe's overall three-point shooting as a starter (since 1998-99):
1568/4723 = 33.2%
Only thing worth noting is volume, but the percentages are remarkably similar. Also it's getting really tedious to find all this in my favor only for you to yell over it and call it fake. Acknowledge what I'm actually saying before you post, this is why everything you've been saying has been getting reported for spam by others.
