Intermittent fasting is better than Keto.
It's just too hard it's been your eating fats all the time.
Plus eating all that fat and cholesterol can be good for you over a long period of time.
Brazilian jiu-jitsu is greater than intermittent fasting and Keto.

Man out here starving himself when all he has to do is walk on down to the local dojo. Nothing but benefits nothing but Rewards compared to that burning feeling in your stomach as your body eats itself out of flab

Im trying to discipline myself before i try the divine art of brazilian jiu jitsu sensei mowgli. If i walked into a gym in the sorry state i am now i would surely be broken into thousands of pieces by the lowest rank fighters in the dojo:mjcry:

And after you are broken into a thousand pieces you will weigh less.

You don't need to be in shape to start training but after you start training you will be in shape.

I'd rather eat what I want and train then eat like a rabbit and b miserable

Starve yourself brehs instead of eating clean and lifting heavy weights

You dont necessarily have to starve yourself breh. Thats taking it to the extreme. But if you eat clean, fast and work out thats like hittin all cylinders. Plus fasting helps your blood pressure, insulin levels, cholesterol and more get regulated. Your vision marginally improves cuz it takes you back to that animal state of hunting for food. Humans werent built to be eating as much as we do, resting as much as we do. Id never say this is better than working out but if u aint got time for the gym like that this helps. If u want that six pack and 19 inch arms tho u gotta work out :hubie:

But if you a tubbsy wubbsy try it out

The Truth
I'm glad you specified the bolded.
Because outside of self-discipline, there is absolutely nothing healthy about what you are doing to your body
This is true

That not eating shyt is OD

nikkas talking about “discipline”, only if you’re doing it for religious beliefs, because if you’re doing it to lose weight I don’t believe it will stick and I’m going from experience of watching people do it

Intermittent fasting is not really “not eating” and the only real discipline it takes is not snacking at night (if you’re doing the 12-8 roitine). There are other types of IF, but cleaning your diet should be the main important thing, not starving then going back to trash.

I prefer a Keto because I can still eat mostly what I would normally eat. As long as I keep my carbs below 50gs (100 if I’m slacking) and hit the gym/weights then you gonna get results without even trying or needing discipline. I try to eat 5 times a day when it’s time to break my fast and 2 of those are protein shakes and the other 3 are chicken/turkey/fish based with little to no carbs.

And sometimes I don’t eat enough because drinking gallons of water, teas, supplements, etc., be having me full regardless. But I do still eat.

Sometime around 1/2pm today, Im having turkey sausage with turkey/spinach omelette, then later a protein shake, then my snack will be tuna salad I made last night for dinner, then another shake after gym, with fish/carrots/noodles before 9/10.

My only problem is for a Keto I worry if I’m getting enough fat in my diet.

Eating grilled chicken breast, broccoli and a sweet potato every night is fukking boring doesn't change the fact you spend most of your day snacking on protein bars/drinks to keep you full and spend 4 hours in the gym doing 5 exercises and most of time resting on the bench catching your breath.

If you’re eating a 100g of carbs a day, you’re most likely not in ketosis anymore. Ketosis requires a very high fat intake and low to moderate protein intake. High protein can throw a person out of ketosis as well. You can get test strips to see whether your body is actually in ketosis. I don’t do it cuz I don’t feel it’s sustainable long term, but whatever floats your boat:yeshrug:

That keto diet definitely works.
I did it last year faithfully combined with intermittent fasting (I only ate from 12pm - 8pm). No more than 20g of carbs of day. (It's nuts, and pretty challenging, but not impossible)
Lost 60 pounds in about 6 months.
First month losses always get people excited. All that water weight is deceiving.
If you get too caught up in that first and second month big drop you'll set yourself up to lose motivation in the later months when you start to lose at a slower rate.
The scale only tells one part of the story. Pay attention to how your clothes are fitting you. That scale might not be moving a lot but on the other hand you might find your clothes fighting you looser. Also, everyone else around you will notice your weight loss before you do. I lost 25 pounds and in the mirror I saw absolutely no difference however, everyone else around me kept telling me I was looking good. I didn't notice the loss myself until I lost about 30 - 35 pounds.
