And nobody is talking about prime Swizz OP,but that was a short period of time....What about the rest of the time where he's managed to sumhow convince people to still buy his beats?And giving them some of the most wack,embarrasing beats known to man....We focused on that decade,not the 2 or so years he was decent....He didn't do enough to make himself bulletproof

I think Swizz has some good and even great beats, but like someone already said he probably has more misses than hits. To respond to the bolded, Opposite of H2O by Drag-On was mostly produced by him and I think all of us that heard that album can agree that it's one of the worst produced albums ever.

I know music is subjective and all lat , but I can comfortably say that none of these are mediocre and the funny part is that in all those videos , people in the comments are commending the beat . Like I said before I agree Swizz is hit or miss but ya nicca be exaggerating with that shyt too much and I don't even consider swizz a top 10 producer

Swizz is a momument for something else.

He is really the first producer to become the go-to for non-sample, hardcore, cipher beats
that didn't outshine the rappers.
That's why Swizz has so many "ehhh" tracks that still go hard, because the raps on them are hard.

I remember in his prime when you found out Swizz did a track, you had to listen to it
for about 8 bars to figure out what he was trying to get at. Sometimes it was decent, most times
it was not. But it depended on who was rapping on it and what they did with it.


On another note: Swizz gets props for producing cuts that he didn't do.
I say that to say, he's seen as the "Ruff Ryders' producer"...but some of the GOAT Double RR
beats are not his tracks. It is my opinion that P.K. and DJ Shok made better beats than he did.

Swizz Beatz is dope, but I could never put him over Timbaland or The Neptunes. They are far more versatile and 9/10 produced better songs when they worked with the same artists. Blueprint 3 being the only exception. Tim's Bio and The Clones >>>>>> any Swizz album.

I barely hear NY being the reason which is sill btw islf that's the case. I'm standing by wack beats and jumping on songs when he doesn't need to be. I don't give a shyt if you are from Europe if you are dope you are dope. And yes he has plenty of classics
