3 page paper
4 interviews over the phone
6 in person interviews
u interviewing for the VP position?
lol I can't imaging the bs they would go through.
I would normally hit them with the, but Amazon is an elite level company with all the benefits and prestige that go along with it. One of the BEST places to work, so they pick the best of the best. The fact u made it this far means you're top tier in skills already. Good luck!
There’s like no Latinos or blacks in the tech world, I been working in digital advertising for 10 years and have only met two black developers like myself.
There’s even fewer latinos.

What happened? How many interviews did you have?Good luck breh. Flew up there for an interview last summer for a Brand Specialist position. Stupid competitive.
I didn't get it.![]()
See that a lot. Its part of the racism and double standard and bias that exists in job seeking and job placement process. Same thing with prior work experience. They make exceptions to your degree and job background. That is why blacks have to be more open about community building. And if we were to get communication degrees. So what? I see white folks going to little liberal art schools and getting high paying consulting jobs off the rip.
Consulting companies dont want liberal arts. They recruit from science programs from HBCU and PWITypically those whites are at "prestigious" PWIs that have Consulting companies that pretty much funnel grads into their Fresher programs.
What happened? What did Google do?One of my buddies was trying to get into Google as an IP attorney and he said it was the most stressful interview of his life.![]()
How did your interviews go?FYI.
Accepted a position
As VP - Sr Product Manager with a leader in the banking industry last week.![]()
Did they fly you in? How many interviews before they did bring you in? How was the interview? What types of people did you meet with?Yeah, just did the Amazon interview last week. It was 4 hours of fun, the city is pretty white. It feels like what the world would be if hipsters took over.
How do you get out of that? Those racist and/or over zealous types.I interviewed with them for a software engineer position. Things went well until my last interviewer. One of those too smart for his own good, probably with that blacks are mentally inferior bug in his head. His conduct wasn't hostile but I think he ruined his own impression of me. Suffice to say I didn't get the job. I'm still bitter about it.
I don’t know if they are one of the best places to work or not but i knew right when i walked through the door it wasn’t a place i wanted to be. People seemed miserable, boring, and tired. That is the gist of what I felt during the process. I connected with a few people as well who “worked” in the org i was interviewing for and they said it’s strictly a 2-3 year gig to build up your resume and go elsewhere. Lastly i wasn’t fond of the lack of diversity. It’s diverse for everyone but African Americans’..
There are. It is probably very racist. There’s like no Latinos or blacks in the tech world, I been working in digital advertising for 10 years and have only met two black developers like myself.
