Technically it might not but most people on here claiming they are introverts wish they could be more liked, social, etc or else they wouldn't even bring they ass on here to interact with cats. They'd just live their lives doing them with nobody bothering them. Serious question, not clowning: Do ya'll have a problem interacting with people or do you rather have a problem being in social settings that you can't control? Cuz introverts seem to have no problem interacting with people/strangers online (shout out to the lurkers tho)

I absolutely prefer being by myself I find a lot of one on one interaction to be draining. But I don't consider myself an introvert becuz I have no problems hanging out in groups and when I'm around people I make an effort to interact with them cuz I hate "awkwardness". I'm not gonna talk your ear off but when I enter a room I acknowledge the people in it and if theirs a discussion going on I'll usually jump in

I don’t but at the same time im completely fine with not interacting with people at all. Unless im around my close friends im just a quiet person. People who like to talk don’t bother me but just complaining for the sake of kinda bothers me especially if they not trying to fix the issue

Done in which way? I'm part of a society and help run the committee and the seminars, that's a hard social skill there. You tryna force a narrative that you subscribe to or someone close to you and think it's one size fits all

Ehh I'd say it's moreso about being more in control about what you want to talk about than awkwardness. Online I pretty much speak on the topics I want to, when I feel like speaking on them. IRL there's often a lot of idle chatter and small talk, which is really really draining to me. Also, people tend to put more thought into what they say in a serious nontrolling discussion online, whereas IRL you freestyle and thus the level of conversation is a little bit lower

That's due to the amount of attention focused on extraverts and the social pressure put on Introverts to be more like them.

This country is geared towards extraverts and those of us who don't conform to that standard are looked at like some sort of anomaly.

That's the reason we keep seeing this same thread almost every other month.

There's nothing wrong with us. We don't need to be 'fixed'. We don't need to interact with people. Matter of fact, the less we interact with people, the better off we are. Small talk is for small minds and there is far more of interest to us in our own minds than what the majority of extraverts have to say.​

Just like you, but we don't care about how people view us or talk to us as much as you do.

We'd rather read or just chill somewhere quiet with as few people as possible.
