I have become introvert over the years

thats because once I loss my job the so called friends I had and who I helped out and party with couldn’t even let me have $5...

After that moment it was me against the world and just worry about my own paper and needs..

Since we're throwing out wild ideas, how about introverts being narcissistic a$$holes for refusing to engage in conversation/small talk unless it serves their particular interests?

I identify as an introvert as well, and I used to dread the mandatory small talk at work. If you don't take part, you're automatically seen as either too private, or a weirdo. I would just rather not mindlessly talk about the weather, or what's going on in my personal life every cot damn day, and instead get straight to business!

It was only when I started to take the initiative and direct the banter in my areas of interest (eg you see the fight/game of thrones episode last night?) much like extroverts would that I started to not only tolerate small talk, but to actually enjoy it.

Two "extroverts" with struck nerves who just got reminded of the times they tried to force convo with introverts, were found to be annoying and exhausting, and took it very personal because they think everyones supposed to like them and entertain their bullshyt

It seems normal. But then there are some people that HAVE to be busy body and talk to everybody. My bff's girlfriend is just like that, they go out EVERYNIGHT, on her days off she HAS TO do something out and about, and she will have full blown conversations with everyone that comes in her radius lol.

when i was youngin people always called my quiet and shy. when it was just that i didn't want to talk about the bullshyt they were talkin about. also know as small talk.
when i did eventually start tellin people i don't do small talk they changed their approach tand were able to get me to have a conversation.

I can socialize, skillfully even, but I like to have a purpose for it, and yes, I struggle or just outright defer small talk most of the time, which can make casual encounters painful for me. It isn't a fixed system, it's just which one you are more comfortable with, I would never be considered the "life of the party", but that doesn't mean I cannot socialize.
