Introverts vs Extroverts - Which One Are You?

most people aren't both, but there are definitely traits of both people can have for a variety of reasons.

like i'm an extrovert, every personality test i've taken from childhood to now puts me there, but i have "introvert qualities" simply because of my personality and upbringing. i can be selective with who i talk to because i simply don't have patience for bullshyt/dumb people/people i feel aren't worth my time, i also like to recharge alone but that comes from being the only girl and the youngest in my fam (by a big gap)...it was sort of like being an only child, i knew how to be just as happy dolo as with people.

Many people are both depending on the setting and situation is what I should've said but I get what your saying.

My real point for that post to make it clear that introvert is just a way to shade the fact that most of these people are weirdos. There are legit Introverts but everyone that claims it is not

im an introvert. that doesn’t mean i don’t talk or can’t hold a conservation or shy, but that my interactions socially are really chosen. hate small talk. hate small talk texting and will cut the convo short. i’m quiet unless i have something to say, it’s a topic i can relate to or something i’m really interested it.

i definitely prefer solitude, being a social situation for too long makes me feel smothered. and after i need a few days to “unwind” and recoup before i put myself in one again, in terms of entertainment purposes.

May I ask why you and others hate talking on the phone?

I’ve stopped calling people just to talk and catch up cause Im not trying to bother anyone

Feels a little impersonal to always text people but I try to respect peoples space

For me I have to be in the mood. It's a lot mentally to keep someone engaged when I just want to mentally zone out. Unless the conversation is about something of substance. I hate small talk and most people like to call people when they're bored. On the other hand if it's my close friends I'll generally talk to them but people I'm not that close to should never call just to catch up. That's what facebook, etc. are for IMO, lol.

I have a friend who's an extrovert. Whenever he calls I try to answer because he'll get in his feelings if I don't pick up. Talking to him always lasts about 30-45 minutes because he just goes on and on about the most mundane things. It's exhausting. After we talk I need the rest of the evening to myself by myself.
