I need that back in my life. Everything feels so damn restrictive since I jumped from Android to iOS. This iPhone is definitely going to be the only one I own, jumping back on the Droid train after this. I'm not even going to complain about the constant crashes I'm having because I think that's mainly due to having a cheap ass 5c and upgrading to iOS 8.

Same thing with my iPad (which was a gift), shyt makes me want a Droid or Windows tablet.

The interface and apps are clean as fukk and this phone is well built but there was a lot of things from the Droid ecosystem I miss. Not buying a Samsung again either though.

after some hack came out that allowed you to circumvent Apple's restrictions. Try buying an iPhone 6 and customizing it like that today. if you're lucky the jailbreak for iOS 8 and the iPhone 6 will be out earlier than a couple of months before the device is gonna be replaced with iOS 9 and the iPhone 6s.

i bought the iPhone 5 on release day and it couldn't be jailbroken until after the 5s was out.

If Apple has anything on Andriod its marketing and selling stuff to end users who become so feverishly loyal to their product that they listen to whatever that company says and accept it like it's Moses walking down from a mountain with the 10 commandments. The iPhone hasn't been bleeding edge tech since it's first couple iterations but it's users don't care about this because the transitional animations between apps are pleasing to the eye.

I don't buy into those fanboy talking points. to me iOS and Andriod aren't any better than each other. It's just that one is more flexable out of the box and one is more restrictive. Like I've said multiple times if you don't bump against the restrictions Apple places on it's devices then they're probably the greatest devices on the market to you once you want to do things Apple says you can't or shouldn't be able to do with your device well that's a different story.

The Jailbreak came out Dec 2013 the iPhone 5 came out Sep 21, 2012 the iPhone 5s was released Sep 20, 2013. so yeah the iPhone 5 was replaced before a legitimate Jailbreak came out.

I should be able to use your own ringtones...I agree with that...personally I haven't used a custom ringtone in years...and all I've been using is android for the past 3 years....that shyt is really a big deal to you dudes? I'm 32 years old I could give a fukk less about hearing my favorite rap song blaring out my phone in the wrong situation lol. Just give me a ringtone that's loud enough for me to hear and I'm good.

My biggest gripe with iOS is not being able to drag and drop files without iTunes or native downloading of zips/rars/MP3 straight from the web without needing downloads app....that's something I actually use or care about. Downloads will do but I hate needed to use the app itself to play the music.

I think that's one of the biggest myths out here. That's was Steve Jobs way of thinking and since he ran shyt that's what went down. As far as the fanboys, yeah there were people that ate up whatever Apple served but I think there were more people that wanted a bigger screen.

The 1st big screen phone I remember seeing is the Evo. I been wanting a bigger screen since then. Everyone that I know personally that has been rocking an iPhone for awhile has wanted a bigger screen and that 4" inch shyt they pulled with the 5 wasn't cutting it.

It would be interesting to see what size the iPhone would be today if Jobs were still alive.

thats my biggest gripe also and ive been ios since 08 (ipod touch)


I respect what android stands for and believe it has a place in the cellphone game. i like that they constantly push what a cellphone can do and contain, but im not terribly interested in the specs or customization of it anymore. I use to want the HTC desire (and motorola droid with the slide out keyboard ) more than ANYTHING ( i was pretty much fukk iphone) but once i got an iphone 4, shyt just clicked. I had came from a windows phone and had an ipod touch, so i thought an iphone 4 would be wack because i was use to iOS. but once i got the 4 and used it full tim,. I appreciated its snappyness (at the time) and ease of use. I didn't know the specs compared to the HTC Desire i just new the shyt worked, and i didnt have near as many problems as my then girlfriend had with her htc at the time.

I'm 40 years old, I don't care about none of that android stuff, with age your interest dwindle and your main goal is survival. I don't have time for none of that android stuff but I use a HTC ONE and it's a good phone I just don't care about all the crap it can do.

When I get the money together I'll get the Iphone, I don't like the design of the 6 though.
