I hate.
i can't really rant this shyt out. Without spoiling this show.

Aa real talk. This show really showed.
disney really has never had any real grasp.
on their blockbuster male driven ip's.

That for them to do the same shyt.
.that disney can not sell spiderman for right now. Plus why readership may never return.
to true prominence in print for marvel. As disney has no idea. how to do male driven properties long term. Plus dually are trash at sci fi.

This series showcased everything wrong with disney. All in the last five minutes of the show.
That illustrate the extreme disconnect disney.
Plus an inability to do discovery on said ip.

Just more last move fukks it all up for disney.
Thunderbolt name change included.

All because they fail to do discovery.

Riri bytch lame your friend died acting like she the only person ever went thru a tragic death grow tf up
She lost 2 people. She was also young, the only survivor of it, has never truly grieved and now through some weird act of happenstance, has her best friend right next to her, same in everything except tangibility. Throughout the show, they all have dealt with grief differently and reacted to varying degrees of acceptance. If you ask anyone would they do anything to get a lost loved one back, and most will say YES.

Overall, this show was good. A few changes to the character's motivation, and personality, but I think it fits.

IMO, Dominique Thorne is doing a great job as Riri she's a great lead actress.
I hope this makes sense..

You know how people say "Tom Cruise would have been a good Ironman" While that might be true he ISNT Ironman. At least he wouldn't have been like RDJ was. RDJ just simply owned the character had you truly bought in. I liked all that Thorne was doing, butI haven't been all in on her yet (no:shaq: )
She's doing a good job, but hasn't elevated the material.

*obviously Keke nor Thorne are on RDJ or Cruise level just using it as an example.

You can be a flawed unreedemed character and still be likable. There are plenty examples of that in the MCU. The punisher is one of the most obvious ones. Riri's character just isn't likeable to me :yeshrug:
I don't think the show was trying to get you to like Riri though, is what I'm getting at. Anyone stupid enough to do what she did at the end of this doesn't get sympathy, and the writers know this.

At least not yet, maybe in a future series.

I really wanted to like this show but with each passing episode I disliked it more and more. The acting outside of a few people was wack. The plot was wack. Prior to this show I was indifferent about Riri's character but after that final episode I don't like her. They made her an insufferable character who took no responsibility for her actions.

That scene where she got angry at her mom for wanting to help her especially made me roll my eyes. I honestly can't think of too many good qualities that she possess. And that choice in the final episode :snoop: For a supposed super genius Riri's character sure is dumb :unimpressed:
Coogler can't write superhero shows or flicks
