I worked about 7 months last year and only owed a few dollars versus 1500 or 1200.Mine is going to be stupid...over $5k and that's just the feds. Which is crazy because I was out of work most of the year, only worked Sept-Dec in 2018 and cleared maybe $15k total. If I had worked all year I would have probably owed. I'm going to file end of February/Early March.

Not really.if you get anything back then you are an idiot
Oh that's good! That's a lot of money to owe and they will ruin your life if you don't pay them. if I didn't have a child I wouldn't be getting anything close to that amount back.I worked about 7 months last year and only owed a few dollars versus 1500 or 1200.

everyone should move their witholding from 0 to 1 though, leaving it at 0 is fukkin stupid
reallyyou fill out one sheet of paper and turn it into HR. takes 5 mins but 800 isnt that bad compared to others
My husband claims the kids because he makes less than I do so normally he files first and I file in April and pay mine with his refund.Oh that's good! Got $2000 back![]()
That's a good plan. Are you claiming 0 on your W4 or 1? Does your company have a 401k or retirement plan? Contributing a small amount into one of those can decrease your taxable income and may balance out things. I hate for you to owe them anything. My husband claims the kids because he makes less than I do so normally he files first and I file in April and pay mine with his refund.
