It was covered nationally(and internationally) because of that, & made Shyne known to the audience who knew Puff and J-lo
, the silly big hat style that kids were wearing in that era was directly started AFTER Shyne was shown walking to and from court wearing his hat that way
and when the record companies were scrambling toexploit his storysign him...Shyne got Pac-like coverage
The buzz was HUGE.....the full court press/media coverage was on.

Yeah, now with the amount of coverage the 2025 Puffy sex trafficking trial is getting, people can see in real time my earlier point about the Puffy shooting trial from 2001 .
Wall to wall coverage and two of the biggest national stars at the time were connected to it. People who had no idea who Shyne was before that, knew him because of the trial coverage.
