No car note or student loans.

401K funds itself through work, of course.

I have money in the market and in a Roth as well but I didn't plan to continue contributing to those.

A thousand in most cities is enough, but bare in mind this...don't spend all your time around your lady. You and her will get bored of each other. I'd keep it where you do 3-4 extravagant dates per month, which can be relegated to the weekend with that G then just working part time and blowing that money on a bunch of cheap dates throughout the month.

yeah...i was wary of that. last night I even thought about whether or not we could afford separate vacations on that budget...
