Is Magic Johnson/Isiah Thomas/Larry Bird/Kareem/Dr J forgotten in basketball? It's impossible. Just because they're not the current topic of discussion or making any headlines as of late doesn't mean they're forgotten...their names are almost synonymous with basketball. Same with Pac and rap.

it wasnt a bad question
you answered it yourself when you said started listening in 2000
the fact you werent really listening till 4 years after he passed is a good indicator of why Pac is remembered always

newer generation might not care but you still got 100 million people who lived with and through it

same with say, Michael Jackson or Muhammad Ali. Gone but impact and people living are still here to remember it

He's reached international ghetto messiah status. From the favelas to Slums in Africa, there's a potrait of pac on a wall, a bus, anything. Say what you want about him, but very few artists, regardless of genre, have made people feel something when listening to their music as he did. He can't be forgotten. And this isn't some nostalgia backed talk, cause I wasn't even alive when he died, but I still knew of him as a child, people used to talk about him as if he was alive.
