For fast food, $20/hr is good. Economically it's only good if you living at home or with a roommate. If you living solo, $20/hr is poverty.

It's about $2500/month after taxes
Even if you have a roommate you not saving much afterwards. You don't have a 401k or Roth Ira.

This. Unless $20 is the top of the payscale for white collar jobs in an area, its likely only paid in HCOL areas in which case its not cutting it for anyone trying to live rather than just exist.
