It seems like back in the day most major independence milestones would be cleared by 21

Your own place
A career
Maybe marriage

Now people are doing things later due to the heavier financial burden and debt trying to be independent comes with now. Lot of people are living with their parents til damn near 30. Everybody is in debt in some way too. What do y'all think?

Bruh, I don’t care what no one says. Living with your folks until you’re 30 is some loser shyt. Unless of course you’re paying their mortgage or something, in which case they’re really living with you. Don’t tell me it’s impossible to move out and survive either please. That’s bullshyt.

It's not wise for someone to move out if they don't have to pay rent and their relationship with the parents is good unless they are

Debt-free and have a solid career with some savings

You know how those other races of people get and maintain wealth? By staying at home and saving their shyt. The worst thing black people can do is kick their kids out while in debt. You can't build wealth while in debt. Debt is how you get stuck in a shyt job you don't want to go to. Debt is how you end up as a Walmart greeter at 70 years old.

It's not loser shyt to stay with your parents until 30 if you are actually building to make power moves toward financial independence

You are a loser if you live with your parents until you are 30...More so if you are a man..:The whole purpose of manhood is establishing your own space and protecting/being able to provide for your offspring.

What makes someone working, paying off debt, and saving money to start their life well off financially make someone a loser?
And provide for offspring? You can still do that.

Having a large familial unit does not make you not a man plenty of cultures have grandparents and parents all living in the same house and contributing in different ways.

I don't see the argument here other than looking for some clout due to having your own place (which you rent and pay 10s of thousands of dollars each year into some wealthy person's pockets while they sit on their ass not fixing shyt)

Why would you be in debt moving out? There are so many jobs available that would have you stacking money while on your own too. You just have to leave your ego at the door about trades. shyt, I’ll even go as far as saying I understand staying in the house until you’re out of college at like 22-24 if you go that route but to be a grown ass 30 year old man? Nah. I don’t know. To each their own, I guess. I just think that this is a manchild attitude that lazy nikkas adapt and excuse it with some nonspecific “other races” rhetoric.
