The talent, melody, positive vibe, soul, emotion, what happened to black music over the last 15 years brehs?

The things, there is still music like that being made but it's going unheard by the masses. Like I once mentioned before, Teedra Moses debut album

Is straight classic. Id put it up against any R&B album that came out over the last 20-25 years...the thing is noone in the popular music press talks about her/that album.:dwillhuh:

the 80s simply because of the diversity as other posters have mentioned

that early to mid 80s rnb/funk

:ohlawd:

gap band, cameo, roger and zapp etc

I agree. 90s still had goods joints but thats 80s diversity made it pull ahead for me. The 90s really shined with the female rnb groups

The 90's was such a beast musically. Even one hit wonders like Groove Theory and Mark Morrison made classic singles.

90's R&B had more range when you factor in Neo Soul because alot of Neo Soul was a throwback to 1970's Soul/Funk/JAzz. This is the same sound that the 80's lacked. 90's R&B also had the synthy and house-dance hybrids that began in the 80's.

Nothing like this really in the 80's but a ton like that in the 1970's
