I like the Disco-Era late 70's to.
I just like 80's R&B better somehow.

I like Pop 80's better than Pop 90's to.

80's pop overall was cheesy sounding:scusthov:. Too much computerization going on. They fixed it though when the 90's came in:ehh:

that's actually true. in the 90's it kinda went back more to the 70's sound of recordings.

But i'm a big fan of that typical 80's sound with the tons of Reverb and shyt.

This 90's nostalgia has to stop. If you actually listen to the songs objectively 80's had better songs. Still the 70's were better than both.

My ranking of the decades in terms of GOAT R&B:
  1. 70's
  2. 80's
  3. 90's
  4. 60's
  5. 10's
  6. 00's

vocally- yes. Anita Baker, Whitney houston. Shoot Stacy Lattisaw was like 16 with an amazing voice.
Exactly in terms of Soul who can touch Patty, Stacy and Anita in the 80's and don't say 90's Whitney (80's Whitney was better) and Mariah :stopitslime:.

Add in Jeffrey, Freddy and Luther ... :childplease: who can touch them in the 90's

I didn't even get to the B Team yet.

those are the only 2 though. ill give those 2 props but man the 80s. remember Phyllis Hyman?? bruh that voice.
She was too melodramatic for my taste also but there are always going to be a few artists that fewer people appreciate.

My list is

1. 70's
2. 60's
3. 90's
4. 80's
5. 00's
6. 10's
I'm not feeling 60's R&B like that ... I guess because they used it so much in movies that it seems almost corny now.

Plus I'm feeling the 10's

The new batch of artists coming up now have next ...

:russ: 1960's got a heat/classic for days

I'm one of those types that when I hear a song too much I stop appreciating it /hate it.
I'm not saying that it isn't good but I heard it too much to really appreciate it and think of it as something I would want to just zone out and listen to if that makes any sense (as I'm typing I know that it doesn't) but that's my pov.
