So if one parent is doing everything and the other is just sending a check every month then $900 isn't enough.

As an actual parent I can say in the early years even $1100 isn't enough. A decent daycare here is about that much alone. Diapers, food, doctor visits, more rent/bigger mortgage for a bigger place, health insurance etc... whenever threads like this pop up it's always obvious who has no fukking idea what it takes to raise a kid.

So basically the parent paying child support only pays for a portion of day care and the parent with custody pays for the rest of it plus everything else? Are you aware child support is taxed before the parent even receives it?

idk anything about child support but I’d assume the parent that is living with the child automatically pays more because the child is there so any extra expenses fall on them.

Child support by law is supposed to help with any expense related to the child including housing

These broke chicks dont pay hardly nothing for daycare. They get govt assistance and all types of subsidies and vouchers. And daycare cost often is included in the child support calculation by the judge. Most times split 50/50.

Not on child support..
But I pay $500 a month to my ex..
Since she lives with her ma dukes..
For most of the week..
And we go half on tuition(private school), extracurricular activities, clothes..
So it does add up in a month..
Really depends on the situation..
Plain and simple..
Don’t have kids if you not about that life

I have no opinion on this subject, but in Most states if you receiving child support payment you typically also eligible to receiver them daycare vouchers which can potentially cut the cost of daycare in half.

but he has

1,500 in rent
300 in car note and add in another 100 for insurance
Student loans

and $600 a month in child support
