Logic?
Anyway, I’m not a Seinfeld guy like that, but the Soup Nazi, George’s wallet, and the puffy shirt episodes are goated.

Sounds like you didn't know what the show was about, how comedians find jokes.
Yes a black comedian could have dome the same thing, but we just aren't in that era anymore, the Internet and the fukk shyt people do is too much to compete with.
YupCould be done, but would honestly likely have to be catered more toward the 18-29 "Black geek" crowd.
Not "geek" as in the "The Big Bang Theory", but something more highbrow and clever with elements of "Curb", "Arrested Development" and even "It's Always Sunny".
I could see Gen Z really riding for something like that if it was written smartly. Black youths in my age range seem less likely to pigeonhole themselves, thankfully.
No baby-mamas, no hard-luck "WhAt We GoN Do?" type scenarios, no street shyt (unless wisely satirized).
Just 4-5 working class-to-middle class Black people getting involved in crazy, humorous situations on a weekly basis with nobody getting shot or saying "nikka" 15 times in a single scene.
Give it a TV-Mature rating and put it on Netflix.
Serious potential IMO.
Curb >>>SeinfeldStill haven't gotten into this. I put on the first ep last year, and the shaky camera kinda threw me off. I turned it off and never went back![]()
Seinfeld is fukking corny.
I actually agree but would say season 1-6 is better than Seinfeld. Anything after season 6 isCurb >>>Seinfeld
You’ve never watched Curb?
And you in here hyping Seinfeld up?

How many modern shows are there with black people just being normal, much less a black show about nothing. To me the best representation of black people recently has been on The Bear. It's not a "black show" by any means but there are multiple black characters just living normal lives and having normal conversations, personal triumphs/failures, etc. So many black writers and creatives get caught up telling stories that seem designed to appeal to white perceptions of the black experience. Which means endless black trauma. Our humanity is based on what people do to us (instead of being based on being human), so a show about black people living normal lives or not having run ins with the police wouldn't be attractive to executives. Flip side you can make a show about white people living (regular) life in the big city and it's a hit.

Im into writing as a hobby and have been thinking of writing something along these lines. I think it’s possible and needed
Seinfeld is nothing special, that whole "show about nothing" concept is just a marketing add tag, it's a situational comedy like all the rest. And its not even funny, without the laugh track that shyt is terrible and you realize it quick, I tried watching Seinfeld on at least 3 occasions, shyt was dumb, Bernie Mac Show shyts on Seinfeld.
I think the closest we've ever had to this was Atlanta, but since most of us ain't living the life of rapper/manager, a lot of scenarios weren't things that the average black man and woman would encounter in our lives.
So that makes me wonder... Could a show that just explores the various things that we encounter in our lives succeed?
They don't have t.v.'s in theThat warehouse worker won't understand this level of comedy, word to @Neuromancer
Ain't you got some boxes to move?Seinfeld is fukking corny.
