I think the most important aspect that the A+ will teach you is self learning. If you want to be successful you will need to learn how to find resources and learn things on your own. Sure some companies will send you to training but they will not send you to training for everything. Some things you will need to read some KBs or white papers or set up a lab for testing.

I was studying for the A+ then got a good job in another field. I'm a good writer but there's only so much money in that.

I wonder if it's worth it to start again.
Depending on what you consider "good" money, technical writers can yield 6 figures. You can also work on multiple projects at once if you wanted to go the independent contractor route.

Being in restaurant business for 10 years

Working 70+ hours on my feet is wearing on me. And I been studying right after work, I dunno if I can pass this test brehs
Start looking for a new job any way. Look for entry level help desk and put that you're close to obtaining the certification. If you fail, at least you can see what areas you need to focus on.

yeah im watching his videos too. its ok but i heard mike meyers is better videos. but you have to pay for them. you can take A+ in 2 seperate parts right?

how long have you been studying. im just gonna study for first part first. pass the test, then go back and study for second part of A+

I started about 2 weeks ago actually, like you changing careers. There are two tests you can take at different times that you need to pass both to get the A+ cert
