Personally I think JWs as individuals can be very nice good people. The organization they support, unbeknownst to many of them, is corrupt. They think they're serving Jehovah God and following Jesus' example, involved in a life-saving work that teaches the truth of the Bible, warns people about Armgeddon, and gives people a hope for a Paradise earth with no suffering and death. I honestly feel many of them have good intentions and believe they have the truth.

That doesn't change the organization's flip-flopping on doctrinal matters, false prophecies, harmful policies, and dishonest practices.

So what "crap" did I say that was intentionally designed to mislead or promote a dishonest agenda? By all means, I want to know

Yeah, I'll trust a random dude on the internet over stuff I've experienced living in a JW family for 25 years. and being an active JW for about 14 of those years.

How on Earth would you become reinstated if you ca... You know what nevermind this is kind of a pointless debate because A: it's about religion, and B: I don't think you're listening to a thing I'm saying which ofcourse you're more than welcome to do.

Like what to they get out of it ? is there a money trail ?

Do goverments push for it because it make a large group non voters ?

That I can't say. The organization is run on voluntary donations. If there is someone at the top profiting from it all, they're well hid.

I do believe something keeps the machine going. Also, there are quite a few JWs. Somewhere between 7 and 8 million across the globe, even in places where their proselytizing is illegal. And of course there's at least one Kingdom Hall in damn near every city in the United States. Every one is owned by the organization's headquarters in New York so that's a lot of real estate. And they are tax exempt due to their religious status.

But elders, circuit overseers, prominent ones from headquarters, and the JW governing body command the respect of millions of people who live and die by their words. So their lust for power could be a driving force.

I'm sure someone profits the most, but I couldn't say who. JWs don't pass a collection plate, but they can still pull $100,000 or more at one day of their conventions.

There are poorly adjusted uneducated young JWs who were indoctrinated at an early age and, if baptized, risk losing their family and friends if they stop. According to them, even if you have thousands of people around the world at different points in time saying the same thing, then they're all gonna be seen as disgruntled liars under Satan's rule, so why bother? The only thing you're gonna get (as seen in this very thread) is "you're lying...you don't know what you're talking about...not true...." So just leave them to it.

There are also people who do it because they have to, being born into a family of jw obviously will mean that you're parents encourage you to do it too.
My mom is now an atheist but told me about how horrible it was to have people curse and spit and slam doors in her face all the time.
But she did because there was prolly an ass whooping waiting for her back home if she didn't.
At the end of the day theyre people too.
And I can honestly I've felt harassed by people handing out flyers advocating against religion and even strip clubs too. I felt it was laughably hypocritical for a bunch of atheists to bother people in the same religious people do, but taking any type of lifestyle to an extreme can be bad.
