You mean just like last year, when he started off slow and still ended up with 30 homers, 105 RBIs and a .285 average? Are we really just gon' keep making this thread every year in May when we know the baseball season is about 3,000 games long?

Are y'all even trying anymore?

That's acceptable for a first baseman making 28 million a year? Those numbers aren't impressive

Should've stayed here, even with a decline he'd still have been treated like a gawd.

Oh well.

Made room for Allen Craig to shine. :ahh:

After all of these years, I ask my brethren of The Coli to allow me to make the official Pujols Larry Holmes thread. I don't want to make it too early and then see this nikka hit .320 to finish the season, but when I make it, it will definitely be official.

:flabbynsick: coming soon...

you'd be "satisfied" with that if you paid somebody $240 million?!?!?!

In the first year of the contract, yeah. Hell, if he repeats those numbers again, I would be. Do you know how hard it is to find a consistent 30+/100-RBI/over .280 guy? And if he betters those numbers, I'm over the moon. Y'all want 50 homers and 200 RBIs and shyt. Be realistic.

its not that he's just fukking terrible if he does pretty good. Its just the numbers NOW will never justify that money..

Look at the Cardinals.. they knew
