Yes soccer is worldwide and the USA is part of the world but soccer is not as popular in the US as it is everywhere else in the world. The other major three sports in the US basketball, baseball, American football are light years ahead compared to soccer in the US.

Nobody is saying you don't have the right to be offended people are bringing facts into the equation why this ad might not be intended as offensive because of the shoe that has been named "Predator" for damn near 20 years and in order to promote a shoe what do you do? You get best players in that sport to wear it and promote it and in this case a significant amount of the best players in soccer today happen to be Black including the one in this controversial ad. Past ads promoting this shoe have involved white players as people in this thread have displayed.

The predator is a shoe that has literally been around my whole life and has always been worn by the worlds biggest midfielders and Adidas’ most commercially viable midfielder. It’s not something new.

The imagery isnt something I’m fond of but yeah shes misinformed regarding the name.

Not really, it's still bad advertising considering that it's presented almost as an inside joke.

A nikka like me who doesn't follow soccer or addidas won't know wtf they selling by looking at that poster. What's the point of major advertising if only a select few will understand the concept behind it. Maybe I'm wrong tho and there's images with white men in the same type of advertising set up.

Ya'll can feel free to post up posters where they show some pissed off cac's face with the words predator beneath it without any product shown.

Regardless that shyt is still done in bad taste. If the shoe was on the poster, I'd get it and fallback, but without it, the whole image just shows black people in a bad light.
