an art degree isnt going to help you open an art museum. money and loving art will

and you pretty much nailed it, most of these worthless degrees like art are just used for other people to teach art

a film degree is useless. most jobs that rely on creativity and money, the degrees are useless

Depends on the era and age of a person

For example if u got that bachelor's degree in sales in 95 is that degree really worth a damn in 2017 do to the change in the workforce

The most important degrees should be psychology and philosophy of religion.

Yeah it's hard to say.
Especially considering how many people switch careers in their lives and work in areas that have nothing to do with what they majored in.

I wouldn't say there are a degree is worthless. Sure something like Arts can be made fun of and maybe won't make people a lot of money.
But there are people with Finance degrees that become public school teachers and stuff.

With that in mind, you could say the Finance degree was "worthless"

I think in general terms, the more expensive tuition gets, the more you have to reconsider the value question.

I totally agree but unfortunately you have to be indoctrinated at colleges before "they" accept you...
Like this media companies don't care about grades they wanna know if you can do the job and do it creatively.

I do have to say this if you do a degree in a different city it will grab some people's attention if you're starting out...
But I do also believe if you're not a social butterfly your not gonna get very far in the entertainment industry period.

I got an English degree, I'm actually surprised it's worth a little more than I want to give it credit for. People assume you are an excellent communicator and writer (which I am) which is the basis of every industry. You need to connect with the general public/other businesses effectively to succeed

No, there really aren't.
Even majors like Women and Gender Studies, if you're serious about it, make use of heavy quant skills, particularly in research settings.
Maybe Latin, just because of how limited it's application is.
