I’m from Brooklyn a place where stars are born.
Cuz they both below the Mason Dixon line. That is considered the South technically but when you look at the culture it's not. When the hell was DC or Maryland ever considered the south?

Yup. MD is weird like that. The Baltimore area is definitely more NE culturally but the rest of the state isn't. The Eastern Shore is like southeast VA and NC. The western part is like WVA. Southern MD is country af too and reminds me of NC
DC and Maryland is definitely North East. VA the south tho, it be getting country as hell once you leave Nova.
Country and Southern aren't synonymous, tho. Geographically, most of Maryland is backwoods. Delmarva might as well be South Carolina.
That's weird. Never even saw the variances in regional considerations.Well MD was a slave state and the northern border is the Mason Dixon line. Only reason the state didn't secede from the Union is that Lincoln sent federal troops to the state house and stopped it. He didn't want D.C. to be surrounded by the Confederacy
I When you watch the Wire if you didnt know it took place in Baltimore you would thing Philly, the cities of Jersey or Brooklyn. The slang and way they dressed looked northeast.
I've considered the DMV area part of the Northeast. Both cities is technically the South but culturally is similar to the Northeast. Is that true? I know gangstas from NYC,Jersey, and Philly had ties in DC and B-more for a long time even to this day. It's a known fact that gangstas in NYC get out of town shooters from either Baltimore,VA,DC including Philly and Jersey. Also alot of black folks from the Northeast got ties there as well. So I guess that is why the influence in there. Tell me if I am wrong DMV brehs?

The only person actually from Baltimore in that show (Snoop) talks like a southerner
You're getting your culture insight from fake tv shows, breh?
