Is becoming successful a scam?

Every time I read about a success story, I end read their Wikipedia bio and find out that they either had an elite upbringing with private school education, resources that I have never had access to, some connection that they were lucky to run into who put them on, and or they had some skill that their parents forced them into doing as children until they became the 1% at it.

Is their anyway for the regular individual to find success in this world? Because I'm not seeing how or people just don't want to talk about it. If anything people are becoming rich telling others that the success they want is possible when it isn't.

Explain Russell Simmons, Master P, Ben Carson, Many professional athletes etc. Lots of people who come from nothing make it. IN fact sometimes its easier when you come from nothing because there no pressure for you to fit in and follow society demands. Imagine telling your pops you leaving your 6 figure job with your Duke University degree to do something you really want to do that will not pay no where near as good.
